We came up with different ideas for our final product, so Grace and I both did a first try of the magazine cover. We used Photoshop to make them both. The fonts were from dafont.com, and also ones provided on the software. I like how we used an arrow in the magazine title as it gives it something different to remember, even though it is something small and simple. We decided to use this mid shot of our main character pointing the gun to the camera as it shows the dominance of our character, and represents the genre of the film well. Having these mock-ups gives us good construction of what we can and can’t use for the final product and shows us areas of improvement. For example more articles and text need be shown on the cover, and the placement of the title of our film needs to be considered more carefully. Hopefully these will help us to produce even better final products.

Mock-up of film poster 2
This is the second test of the film poster. We decided to shoot this image in an alleyway as it is one of the locations used in the trailer. I tried to compose the shot so that the main character was standing in front and the two muggers in the background, showing status and control of the characters. We got audience feedback on this which showed us areas of imrpovement to make the film poster look even better.
I think this film poster works well, but after looking at it again, areas of improvements are noticeable such as dull colours, and information missing. This constructive criticism has shown me what I can do to improve to increase the effectiveness of the final product.
