For the images for the magazine cover and film poster we will try both a studio shoot and location shoot. For the magazine cover we will have an image of just the main character, and the film poster will also include the two muggers in the background. We will need to find a time when the studio is free so we can book it out and also when the actors are available for the shoots to take place.
Studio shoot - 16th December
Location shoot - 22nd December

Skrilla - animatics
This is the anamatics for our trailer. This is to help us as a guideline for how our actual trailer will go and look like. It has helped us with a timeline and see how the shots work together and whether the order of shots needs to be changed. This will support us when editing as we added in the music to the anamatics and saw when the music should change over. We also listened to it and found that it sounds better when it fades and has a smoother transition. Adding in certain sound effects allowed us to hear what parts of the filming we want to keep the sound on and take the sound off. We know the placement of when the title cards should be put in and when they work best and this should help make our actual trailer more successful.

Mock up of film poster
This is a mock up of our film cover. I have used images from google, and fonts from dafont.com using the possible font list that I made earlier. I used photoshop to make this, this is just a first idea of what it could look like.
This is just one of the ideas of how our film poster would look like. It would have Steon - the main character - in his costume, possibly with his hood up to portray his character. The colours would mostly be dark as it is more of a boy’s film so it will attract our main target audience. The title of the film will be across the top slightly behind the image but not much of the text will be covered. The background would be of the alleyway where Steon does the drug deals. The alleyway will be dark with a lamppost in being the main source of light.

Analysing page layout and design article
Grace found a media magazine with information on how to analyse page layouts and design. This is to help us with the construction of our ancillary products. She made a photocopy of this and I have analysed it making points that are important and necessary to our work

Music Selection
Tim and his friend who does music production worked together to create a soundtrack for the trailer. They used Logic Pro to make this. Tim helped his friend Jonny Spence to know what would go well with the trailer and at which points things were needed within the music. What they created works really well with our trailer as it goes with the genre and style of our film and has the right pacing for how the trailer progesses from calm to eventful and the excitement grows. It really helps to make the trailer look better and gives it more emphasis on the outcome.

Magazine Fonts
For the magazine cover, I decided not to use a fotn from dafont.com as I thought they were a bit too much for the title. I preferred the look of the simple 'Impact' font as I think it worked better and I liked the look of that better than the more creative fonts from the website. I also liked the use of putting an arrow facing upwards and then having 'up' written in a smaller font alongside the arrow. I decided to do that in photoshop as I think it made it look more creative and effective.
Selected magazine title
'Follow Up' will be the title of our magazine. I think this is a good title for a film magazine as it is giving reviews of films and also giving out information of what to expect of future films.

Selected font
We have decided to use this font as it is similar to the type that other films of the same genre would use. This will give an edgy feel to the poster and also create tension and unease which is good for the storyline we have created. This font will hopefully emphasise our genre and storyline.

These are possible fonts that we could use within our trailer and also our poster and magazine cover. I have found all these fonts from the website http://www.dafont.com/
Most of these fonts have some of the text fading or looking sketchy which i think works good for the excitement of the film. Some of the fonts are plain and simple but have a graffiti look to them which works well as people associate graffiti with chavs.

Characters
Steon – Steon is the main character in this story. He is a chav that works for Boss dealing drugs. He has a sick girlfriend which is the reason he is selling drugs so that the money can go towards making her better. We added this into the story so that the audience has a bit of sympathy for Steon. (George Ready)
Boss – Boss is a drug dealer who is at the top of the whole chain. He controls everyone and is wealthy off all the money he makes from selling drugs. Boss isn’t someone that you would want to get on the wrong side of as he could do serious damage to you if you didn’t pay back his money. (Tim Purser)
Mugger – The mugger isn’t in the story that often, but just comes up and mugs Steon and takes his money, leaving Steon in a dilemma of having to get £100,000 to Boss in the next day (Greg Martin)
Steon’s girlfriend – The girlfriend is ill but they don’t have enough money to pay for any tablets that would make her better (Ellie Graham)

In the lesson before I had wrote the possible cast list and then I had to contact the members of the cast list to finalise the decision for them to be in our productions.
Due to change of characters we have had to change the name of the main character from Jermaine to Steon as the names wouldn't match the person playing the part of the main character.

Possible Cast List
This is the list of people that could possibly be cast in our film trailer. We need to make sure they are flexible so that they can film when we need to. Each of these are comfortable to be a part of our filming and the final cast list depends on their flexibility and ability to get to the location of our filming.
George Ready - Steon
Tim Purser - Boss Greg Martin - Mugger
Akile Burgess - Mugger
Grace Reohorn - Steon's girlfriend
